1. Create your account
Sign up as an organizer with your full name or registered business name exactly as it appears on your bank account, then confirm your email address. Payouts can only go to a bank account in the same name. You can show fans a different name (your brand or awards) on your competition pages. That name must be clearly different from every other organizer's, because fans use it to check they're voting in the right competition.
2. Unlock your account
Pay the one-time unlock fee of ₦10,000.00. It unlocks unlimited competitions on your account. If we gave you a coupon, enter it instead. The unlock fee isn't refundable.
3. Connect your bank
- Choose your bank and enter your account number. We check the account name with the bank, and it must match your account name.
- If the bank's name only adds names you left out, you can correct your account name once, before connecting a bank. Any other name change needs us to check your ID.
- A bank account can only be connected to one organizer account.
- Your bank account is locked while a competition is running and for 3 days after it ends, so its last payouts reach you safely. To change it then, email us: we can allow one change for 24 hours.
4. Create a competition
- Give it a name, a cover photo, voting dates and a price per vote (at least ₦50).
- Add award categories. Each category has its own leaderboard, and can have its own price and votes-per-payment limit.
- Add contestants with a photo (JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB) and a short bio of up to 200 characters.
- Choose the most votes a fan can buy in one payment, up to 10,000.
- Choose whether fans see live vote counts, and whether the competition is listed on Explore.
5. Publish and share
Publishing checks that everything is ready: your account is unlocked, your bank is connected, and every category has contestants. There is no approval wait. Once published, share the competition link, its short link or its QR code. Every category and contestant also has its own link.
6. While voting is open
- Vote price: you can change it until the first paid vote. After that it's fixed.
- Dates: the start date is fixed once voting opens. You can move the end date earlier (to tomorrow or later), or extend it: 1 extension is free, then each one costs ₦5,000.
- End voting now: closes voting immediately after you type a confirmation. It can't be undone, and a closed competition can't be reopened.
- Voting breaks: pause voting now or schedule a break for a live show. Voting resumes by itself and fans see a countdown. A pause longer than 3 days gets a warning email, and voting closes 2 days after that warning if it's still paused. Results are kept.
- Evictions: mark a contestant as evicted. They show an Evicted badge, their votes are kept, and fans can't vote for them. You can undo it before voting ends.
- No votes at all: a competition with no paid vote 36 hours after it starts is flagged, and archived 36 hours later if there's still none. A competition with paid votes is never removed for this.
7. After voting closes
A payment started before the close still counts if it completes within 60 minutes. Results come only from confirmed payments. Download them as an Excel file or print them as a PDF, for the whole competition or one category.
8. Getting paid
You get 90% of the vote money. It is split at the moment each fan pays and sent to your bank automatically, usually by the next business day. There is nothing to withdraw and we never hold your share. Fans pay the processing fee on top, so it never comes out of your share. You are responsible for any tax on what you receive.
