1. Find the competition
Open the link or scan the QR code the organizer shared, or find it on Explore. Explore shows competitions with at least 10 paid votes that the organizer chose to list.
Check who runs it. Every competition page says "Organized by" and has a "Who runs this" box. Make sure that name is the organizer who invited you to vote. No two organizers can use look-alike names. If something looks wrong, use "Report this competition" on the page.
2. Vote
- Pick your contestant and choose how many votes to buy (up to the limit the organizer set).
- Check the total: the votes plus the payment processing fee.
- Tick the box to agree to the voter terms and privacy policy.
- Pay by card, bank transfer or USSD on the secure Paystack checkout.
3. After you pay
- Your votes count as soon as the payment is confirmed. A bank transfer can take a few minutes.
- You get a receipt by email with a reference that starts with
tv-. Keep it. - If the organizer shows live counts, the leaderboard updates straight away.
4. If something goes wrong
- You closed the checkout without paying: you weren't charged and no votes were added.
- You were charged but your votes didn't show: email hello@tixandvotes.com with your receipt reference.
- You paid just as voting closed: a payment started before the close still counts if it completes within 60 minutes. Later ones are refunded.
- Votes are final: they aren't refunded or moved to another contestant. Refunds are only for failed or double charges. See the refund policy.
5. Paying safely
Your card details are handled by Paystack. We never see or store them. The competition is run by its organizer, who is responsible for its rules, results and prizes.
